"Edgar's guys did a great job.
They were in communication with us throughout and were responsive to us and our neighbors (who had scaffolding in their yard) when any issues emerged. The guys kept a clean job site. We felt completely comfortable with them in our home. hey even brought additional guys to work inside on rainy days to expedite the project. Their judgment was spot on and would recommend them to anyone."
"Excellent!! This is the second time that I used them for work on my home. They did an incredible job. They were on time, and they were extremely careful about the dirt and dust they generated, since cutting the old bricks out generates an incredible amount of dust. They were able to work me into the schedule before Thanksgiving. The gentlemen that showed up to do the work even helped me get my new windows installed."
"I called Mr. Raymundo and he was prompt in coming to view the job and give me an estimate. Once the contract was signed, I was very pleased with the timing of the job (approximately one week). Mr. Raymundo checked daily on the progress and made sure that when we ran into inclement weather, that everything was secured and protected from the elements. The quality of the workmanship and materials was excellent. I highly recommend Edgar's Masonry. Mr. Raymundo operates a first class business."
"This is actually the second job they have performed in the house. The first job was fixing the chimney, fixing and replacing bricks on the outside walls and sealing the fireplace brick. They did such a great job that I had them back to build the retention wall. Great workmanship, they work until late to finish the job and are very professional. I have been dealing with Edgar, the son of the owner, and he is a great young man. I originally contacted them after reading an article on AL's magazine written by a customer praising their work renovating an older house in DC."
"Edgar and staff are very responsive and professional, they provided quality service that lead to a quality result. Our project was delayed due to a 3rd party reason (not Edgar's fault) and Edgar and staff handled the situation with the utmost care and consideration. Staff takes their time to produce quality over quantity and our home looks wonderful. After completion there were some minor touch up items that needed attention and Edgar took care of them right of way. Edgar's Masonry is the best in the area and would use him on any brickwork you are having/need done!"
"They were very professional in their initial consultation, presentation of the estimate, and execution of the work.
Our home is 98 years old, and Edgar was the only contractor that recommended the correct mortar (lime and sand mix) to not damage the bricks. Other companies that provided estimates spec'd cement mortar, which is a common mistake that most people make and will do more harm than good over time. The joints were struck then the excess was scrubbed off to provide a crisp looking joint. Included in the cost was a custom galvanized flu cap that finished the chimney off. I will definitely hire them again when we eventually get to repointing the house."
"I had tried to have it repaired with other companies and within 4 months the cracks had reappeared. They did a very thorough job. The work had held up fine over the years. The basement steps were constantly being washed out and again other people had done it and it didn't hold up. The work that Edgar's did has held up fine. I would use them again."
"Excellent company! Edgar was very pleasant & professional. His team was always on time & the price was reasonable. The men moved quickly & cleaned up after each day on the job. I would definitely hire Edgars Masonry again."
"Do follow up if Edgar doesn't get back to you immediately.--I've seen him do many small and large projects inlcluding 14th Street buildings the Argintinian Embassy or residence at Q and New Hampshire. Excellent work."
"Edgar is really something of an artist. He insists on high quality from his workers. His workers were polite, accomodating, and very professional. I would give them my highest recommendation."
"Excellent work on a difficult job (1/8'' joints). Very experienced; they knew what mortar to use in a historic district. Pull permits, provided own insurance. Finished the job in a timely manner. Highly professional and I would highly recommend."
"Very well. They were responsive, knowledgable, on time and neat. In addition they added on some extra work at the last minute."
